What the service is
dropp.ing hosts a page at an address you pick — dropp.ing/yourhandle — and the shop on it. You write the pages, you set the prices, you decide what is published. Some words cannot be taken as a handle because the product already uses them as addresses: login, signup, legal, terms, privacy and others.

We do not take your buyers’ money
When someone buys from you, the payment is created on your Stripe account, not ours. You are the merchant of record: the money goes from your buyer to your Stripe account, and dropp.ing is never a party to it.
No platform fee is added to a payment. The checkout session is created without Stripe’s application_fee, and a test in the repository fails if that ever changes. The column that would hold such a fee on an order, platform_fee_cents, has no writer anywhere in the code and is always 0.

Because the payment is yours, so is what surrounds it: refunds, chargebacks and the tax treatment of what you sell are between you, your buyer and Stripe.
Your account, and the free trial
Creating an account starts a 14-day trial on the Pro plan, with no card. That is not a promise made by the signup screen alone — it is written by the database itself the moment the account is created, with the trial’s end date fixed at that instant.

The moment you agreed to these terms is recorded in accounts.terms_accepted_at. Until recently that column pointed at documents that did not exist. This page is the first thing it has ever pointed at.
It is written when you continue from the screen that shows you the sentence “By continuing you agree to the Terms & Privacy.”, and only then. If you reach us through a screen that does not show it — the log-in screen’s “Continue with Google”, which can create an account — the column is cleared and you are sent to the screen that does, before anything else happens.
apps/web/lib/legal/consentement.ts — the crossing of step ACCOUNT is the single writer: /api/onboarding/signup, /api/onboarding/consent, /auth/callback
Your address stays yours
A handle is never released back into the pool — not when you rename, not when you close your account. Nobody can take an address you have printed on something.
If you rename, the old address keeps working: it redirects to the new one for as long as the account exists, with no expiry window. That is deliberate — a sticker or a QR code does not expire after thirty days.

Pages and shops can be reported, and suspended
Anyone can report a page, a shop or a link hosted here, without an account and without saying who they are. Accounts and short links can be suspended, and a suspended account stops being served on every public path.

Closing your account is not a deletion
We want to be exact about this, because the screen used to say otherwise. Closing your account does all of the following, immediately:
- your account is marked closed, and stops being able to read or write anything;
- every signed-in device is revoked;
- your pages are unpublished and archived — your shop stops being served;
- subscriptions stop: your buyers’ recurring payments are cancelled at Stripe first, and only what Stripe confirms is marked cancelled here. Your own plan is cancelled too.
What it does not do is erase your data. It cannot: orders, receipts, invoices and bookings belong to your buyers as much as to you, and the database is built to keep them. Records are kept, not purged, and we would rather write that down than let you believe in an erasure that does not happen.
Buyers keep what they already paid for. Closing an account writes nothing to their access rights, because the money changed hands and they have no account here to be warned in. What stops is the recurring charge, so a membership runs to the end of the period already paid.

What this page does not say
It carries no limitation of liability, no warranty or disclaimer of one, no governing law and no competent court. Those are legal statements rather than descriptions of a product, and we did not want to invent them. Read why.
What we store about you, and who else receives it, is on the privacy page.
